Maui Wowie

I headed to Maui for my bro's yakudoshi party. For japanese men its kind of a big deal (Google it for more info). In between helping setup for the party I managed to sneak in a round of golf at my home course Maui Lani located right in Kahului.

On the front nine, I fired up a Gurkha - Shaggy Vintage. This bad boy was very tasty with a slightly sweet finish. Price on this little guy is reasonable $5. As usual I washed it down with a beer.

On the back nine, I lit up a Hoyo De Monterey - Excalibur 1066. This one was definitely my favorite between the two. This cigar had a nice smooth draw with lots of flavor and as you can see went very nicely with my brew.

I had time to kill before my flight back home so I snuck in another round. I smoked a Hoyo De Monterey - Tradicion. This is one of my personal favorites. Just all around a great smoke. Price range is around $8 but its worth it. I definitely recommend this one. Go out and get yourself one and you'll know why. - KJ Gurkha

BBQ Weekend

Judging by the looks and size of this cigar, you wouldn't think much of it.  After lighting this for the first time, I was pleasantly amazed of the complexity and taste.  I didn't want to put this down for a second.  It's well worth the price and one for the ages.  -bedrock
Aging Room gets smoked to the bone
Yet another dandy!  This Warlock fell into that same category.  Not much to look at, small, but packs a whalop!  Had a few beers to wash it down.  Goes on the wish list for sure.  -bedrock

A New Home

Here's a look at my new 100 count humidor.  Since my Treasure Dome was getting too full, I needed to find a new home for my natural colored cigars. -bedrock

A fine pair

The Partagas Black label is by far one of my favs.  You can just about drink anything with it.  Even the beer label matches the ring on the cigar.  It's like they were made for each other.  A quick smoke on the reef in Makaha...Bedrock

Christmas Sunrise

Smoked a Partagas Black on Christmas day.  This was taken from my building with Diamond Head in the distance.  A beautiful day for a tasty smoke...bedrock

Fallout from Top 25

When the Top 25 cigars were announced, I had to give some of them a try.  As you can see the assortment of tasty cigars lie and wait..bedrock

Oh my Romeo

As I read Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 cigars for 2012 and saw the Romeo at #3, I had to get them.  Although, it has never been my personal choice, this baby packs a punch.  I found this particular cigar different from their entire lineup. It's strong and complex with a new look.  You can't order these online, so you will have to call around. I was lucky I guess.

Smoke site "Bird Watch"

Right in the heart of Honolulu.  Watching football today.  Came out for a quick smoke in between games.
Bedrock smoking a La Palina Classic.  A friend turned us on to this brand..
 KJ Gurkha smoking a Partagas.
Started of with a Alec Bradley but ended up grenading it.  Went to the trusty NUB and last all I had to say....
Not the best of views but the cigars were top notch!!

West side

 West side coast line.

Sitting on an old storm drain.  Perfect place to check out the ocean conditions.  Smoking a NUB Connecticut and drinking some Bud Light Platniums.   I'm a fan of all the NUBS.  Always smooth to the last toke...

Super overcast on this day.  Winds were coming out of the South.
