As our Labor Day weekend was coming to an end, Bedrock, JP, and I headed over to Magic Island for some stogeys at sunset. We were looking for a few good smokes, unfortunately these weren't it hence, they were K.I.A. (killed in action). As we run into cigars that don't meet our expectations, we'll post them here. If any of the cigars we post here are ones you happen to enjoy, we apologize. These are our opinions of the cigars but hey, different smokes for different folks.
The first casualty came from Bedrock who smoked a Macanudo Vintage Maduro. Bedrock smoked it for about thirty minutes before throwing in the towel. He said it had a nice draw, but it was harsh and a little too full bodied for his taste. Fortunately for Bedrock he always brings a back up smoke and enjoyed a Nub Maduro to set things right.
Fortunately for JP I brought a back up smoke, a Montecristo Media Noche. Unfortunately this smoke had to go too. JP fought the good fight and smoked it for about twenty minutes before tossing it. I gave it a few puffs and agreed with him. This smoke had a great draw but was too peppery. We will be creating a "Hall Of Fame" post as well with our all time faves so be on the lookout for that as well.
