The Cigar that started it all

During a deployment in Afghanistan, my buddies and I were smoking all sorts of cigars.  I smoked so many I forgot most of their names.  When I first started, it was hard to get used to.  I didn't know what fillers meant or the names given for the lengths of cigars, but was quickly drawn to the complex taste each cigar had.  So rather than spending a lot of money for top shelf cigars, I was looking for something affordable and good tasting.  That's when I found this affordable gem.  Although it doesn't carry the weight of your finer cigars such as a Arturo, Gurkha, or Comacho, it held it's own and many a night, I sat in front of my hooch with the team and we smoked for hours as military operations were going on.

So years later...I brought this back to Hawaii and turned on a few of my golf buddies.

At first I had to beg them to try it, but soon after they started asking me to bring it to the golf course.  I was happy to share it with everyone as it brought back fond memories of sharing that experience and commradory.  This started the craze and it's been uphill from there.  I still have a few of these tucked away in my humidor, but have moved on to other top shelf brands.  Every now and then I will pull one out to smoke and it takes me back to those desert nights.  It goes really well with any cold beer.

Thanks Cameroon...You got me through a lot of tough times. -bedrock-
